Evaluating a Collective:
Indicators of a Good Collective
1. It's closed. They're happy as they are. Move on.
2. The following information is easy to find:
- contact person with email
- membership list
- links to all members
- names of authors
- what visiting the collective offers (e.g. is there a forum, etc.)
- membership policy/FAQ/ABOUT
3. There's none of this stuff:
- comics that stopped updating
- news scrolls or blogs with dust an inch thick
- a poorly monitored forum
4. They answer your email promptly and courteously.
5. All members appear to be participating on a regular basis.
Most FAIL occurs on 2a,d; 3a,b, 4 and 5.
