Comments (August 2008):  You can forgiven for wondering what is going on here. It's easy to mistake this site for the home of a small print publisher. A better declaration of purpose would be a relief. I've been visiting this site for ages and still can't discern with certainty what is a print comic, a webcomic, or an excerpt of a print comic. The prolific comic news blog would be admirable if it wasn't so frequently boring, but then, I am tired of stories about print-industry hand-wringing. There's supposed to be great, lengthy creator interviews here, but if they're of the Gary Groth variety, I'm glad I can find them. Site design is a C-. Too much talking and linking, not enough communication.

Comments (September 2008): Looking in the least likely place last, I found the site's navigation buttons today -- in fine print at the bottom of the page. It's clear that as a commercial enterprise, it doesn't belong here, but I'd like to kick it around a bit before shifting it elsewhere. "This is the best place for news about comics, movies, television, music, games and more," they declare modestly.  Based on site design alone, I smell trouble. The model of executives creating a company and feeding off talent sold through a portal are gone. Hopefully, these guys have a better plan.
